Using raising readers Books: 2012 Maine Early Literacy Calendar
New this Year: Early Literacy Calendar for Parents
Welcome to a year of celebrating literacy in young children! The skills and understanding children need to be readers and writers are developed long before kindergarten, with interested and supportive parents like you. As parents/caregivers we can help our children think and develop their brains. And we can do that by talking, playing, and reading with them. How great is that?
This calendar offers you a years worth of information, ideas, and activities to help you continue to build your child's brain. Even better, each month features one of the books raising readers will give to children throughout 2012.
Note: Distribution of each title may not coincide with the month in which it is featured. raising readers books turn over on a rolling basis.
