Going to School or Daycare

The lazy days of summer vacation are quickly drawing to a close and children will soon be getting ready to start kindergarten, attend pre-school, or spend time in a daycare. You can help your child get used to the idea of going to school or daycare or a different routine altogether by reading some of the great children's stories listed below. There are some great picture books that can help children understand about going to school, and most of all, that even though you leave them there for a short while, you will be back to get them!

Try reading some of these stories that you can find at a bookstore or local library. (Visit the Maine Libraries website to find the library nearest you!)
