Maine's First Lady, Karen Baldacci, was on hand to help raising readers celebrate giving one million books at Husson Pediatrics in Bangor on October 23rd.

Mrs. Baldacci, who is also chair of the Advisory Board of raising readers, read the book "Turtle Splash" to an eager group of pre-schoolers. Turtle Splash, written by Maine author/illustrator Catherine Falwell, is title that was previously given out to all four year-olds a couple of years ago.
