    Description
This book presents photographs of babies with facial expressions that show a range of different emotions.
Why raising readers Has Selected This Book
We try to include several books with faces of babies in the collection. Children are fascinated by the faces of other children throughout their infant and toddler years. Through baby face books children can see the commonalities across a wide diversity of faces and start to make the link between facial expression and emotions.
    Activities
On each page you can point to the baby's eyes, nose, mouth, and ears and then show your baby those features on your face and on hers. Use a mirror to show your baby her faces. This will make a strong connection for your child about the things that all faces share. You can also talk about the emotions on the faces. On the "yum-yum!" page you can talk about the fact that the boy ate something he liked. Talk to your child about the things she likes to eat. Again, your child may not completely understand, but you are beginning to make important connections that will help your baby grow up healthy.
